Renovations for the Armed Forces Retirement Homes - Washington, DC
Client: Armed Forces Retirement Homes (AFRH)
Team: INTECaec and JS Global
Year Completed: 2007 until 2012
Scope of Work: Many Infrastructure Designs, Studies and Design Build Projects
This large campus is home to many US Veteran retirees and provides support in the way of housing, meals, activities and the like. These range from golfing, to landscape and gardening opportunities and classes of all kinds.
The complex forms a historic district that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
INTECaec assisted the AFRH in constructing new day rooms, expanding the landscape and the golf curse, improvements to HVAC, upgrading dining, refurnishing the lobby and many other behind-the-scenes tasks necessary to the ongoing operation of this multi-building facility. Eventually we were instrumental in guiding the Home toward an entirely new residential and service facility to replace a major aging building on the campus.
